Persuasion in politics is a tactic that has been used for years. It is designed to convince individuals with power in government positions to support and implement certain ideas and policies. This form of persuasion is known as “lobbying” and is also associated with advocacy. Lobbying can be carried out by either individuals or organizations undertaking public campaigns (which are legally registered with the government) to pressure people in government positions into taking action towards specific policies.

On October 25th, 2024 Regis University completed Friday's Senior Night celebration at the Regis Turf Fields with a victory over South Dakota School of Mines men’s soccer team, the Hardrockers. The game was a win for the Rangers with a final score of 2 to 1. This win once again preserved the Rangers spotless RMAC record.

On November 1st, Regis University hosted a celebration to recognize one of the most ancient feasts in the cultural life of Mexico: Día de los Muertos. The event took place on the Student Center Patio and was open to Regis students, faculty, staff, and the local community. The afternoon was complete with live music from Mariachi Regional de México, and a culturally significant craft with artist Mamibel (Maribel Arrendondo).

The idea of haunted houses can be traced back many years. We, as people, have always had a fascination with the unknown such as spirits, the paranormal, and ghosts. Homes that gave off an eerie feeling were associated with these unknowns. Creepy architecture and abandoned homes alluded to the idea that there was something scary behind their doors, giving the idea of haunted houses. The enticing mystery behind closed doors made people want to go in and seek those hidden.
