Read MoreOn November 1st, Regis University hosted a celebration to recognize one of the most ancient feasts in the cultural life of Mexico: Día de los Muertos. The event took place on the Student Center Patio and was open to Regis students, faculty, staff, and the local community. The afternoon was complete with live music from Mariachi Regional de México, and a culturally significant craft with artist Mamibel (Maribel Arrendondo).

This past weekend Regis hosted the men’s rugby Cowboy Cup. This tournament was the part of the bracket on the way to National Small College Rugby Organization Nationals. There were four teams competing here to move on to the next round, and Regis is one of the teams moving on. The Rangers fought hard in the championship game to win. They overcame a 29-0 deficit in the first half to win 44-39 over New Mexico Highlands University VATOS Rugby club. The next games for the rugby club will be the weekend of April 6th and 7th at the University of Denver—be sure to come support the Rangers!

The Regis Men’s Baseball team started their season with a home opener this past weekend. They played St. Edwards University for a non-conference game on both Saturday and Sunday. The Rangers won the game on Saturday but dropped the game on Sunday. This puts them 1-1 on the season. The baseball team is on the road playing until March 1st but be sure to come to the next home game!
