Regis University’s Intramural Basketball team, aptly named the “Dream Team” remains undefeated in the tournament. Last week, the Dream Team went up against the Desmet Killas, and won by a blowout score. Their continued success shows that the players in the team live up to their name.

On March 13th, 2025, two fearless teams met face to face for an intense basketball game. In the Regis Intramural Sports Program, opposing teams known as “Dream Team” and “Sacramento” competed ferociously for victory. After an exciting game of ups and downs, the Dream Team snatched victory with a score of 59-58. One point marked the Dream Team’s victory, showing the balance of the game and the skill of the players.

Last October, Regis University hosted it’s annual holiday event, Trick or Treat Street. This event gives kids and their families a chance to dress up, walk the campus, and safely go Trick or Treating on the university’s grounds. Many clubs and organizations, including The Highlander, hosted tables filled with games, toys and plenty of treats.

On February 13th, 2025, Somos hosted its first meeting of the spring semester. Somos exists to provide support, celebrate, and promote appreciation for Latinx culture. This first meeting followed that mission by allowing participants to invite friends and create Valentine’s Day cards together.

Studying abroad was the best thing I ever did, even if it ruined my life a bit. Last August, before I embarked on my four-and-a-half-month long stint in Germany, I found myself walking across the quad and thinking to myself, I’ve really made a home here. I think I’m gonna miss this place while I’m gone. And though there were a few moments where I found myself missing Regis (mostly my friends), my memory of that feeling ended up being used as a reminder that there would still be something for me here when I came back. While I was gone, I had worried a lot that things would be different when I came back. In a lot of ways, they were—not because my surroundings and friends were so different, but because I was so different.

Earlier this semester, the Regis Highlander hosted Chocolate and Collages. An afternoon of fun activities where students could make their own journals and collage covers, all while enjoying delicious melted chocolate on strawberries, bananas, and marshmallows. It was a beautiful, sunny day.
