Read MoreIn the Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, Colorado, the Cherry Creek Reservoir is located. It is at the confluence of Cherry Creek and Cottonwood Creek, southeast of Denver. The reservoir is created by the Cherry Creek Dam, and was initially designed for flood control. Nowadays, many recreational activities are hosted by the park, attracting tourists and locals alike.
